You will learn about your identity, and about Ngāti Rārua Ātiawa Iwi Trust as an entity.
The wānanga is marae-based and includes excursions into the Abel Tasman National Park by water and a bike hikoi. You will explore sites of significance to the Trust, in the Motueka area and hear the kōrero of our families in this area.
The wānanga includes: whakapapa workshop, NRAIT and traditional history and waiata.
Participants are encouraged to engage, take what they learn back to their whānau, and become ambassadors of Ngāti Rārua Ātiawa Iwi Trust.
All costs associated with the wānanga, including travel and accommodation, are covered by NRAIT. All NRAIT owners over the age of 18 are encouraged to apply.
Applications for Manawaroa 2020 are now closed.
